    Bipolar UK is the national charity dedicated to supporting people affected by bipolar. Every month the charity supports over 1,000 people with bipolar to stay well. This includes those with bipolar, those pre-diagnosis, and supporting their family and friends. Their peer support services include the below: 

    • Leaflets and information can be found on their website www.bipolaruk.org.

    • Peer support groups across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. These groups are facilitated by trained volunteers, do not require a referral or booking to attend. Find out more on the website www.bipolaruk.org/find-a-support-group or call 0333 323 3885.

    • Support groups are held in Derby and Chesterfield. The Derby group is held at Community Room, Parklands View, Bath Street, Derby, DE1 3FG on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, from 7pm to 9pm.

    • The Chesterfield support group is held at Saints Parish Centre (next to the Crooked Spire), 5 St Marys Gate, Chesterfield, S41 7TD on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month, from 7pm to 9pm.

    • A one to one telephone and email peer support. To arrange a call back, leave a message on 0333 323 3880 or email info@bipolaruk.org.

    All of the above services can be used free of charge, and the support services are available to those over the age of 18. Those between 16 and 18 can attend a support group if accompanied by an adult.
