Voting closed in the recent elections to our Council of Governors on 30 January 2024. The results of the elections for public governors and staff governors have now been confirmed.
Public governors
The following local residents have been elected as public governors, to sit on the Council of Governors:
- Bolsover and North East Derbyshire – Rob Poole
- Chesterfield – David Allen
- Erewash – Simon Hinchley
- High Peak and Derbyshire Dales – Fiona Birkbeck
- Rest of England – Anson Clark.
There were two seats for the Bolsover and North East Derbyshire constituency and one nomination, so the vacancy will be carried forward to the 2025 elections.
Staff governors
The following Trust colleagues have been elected as public governors, to sit on the Council of Governors:
• Claire Durkin has been elected to represent administration and allied support colleagues
• Fiona Rushbrook has been elected to represent allied professional colleagues
• Sifo Dlamini and Jo Foster have been been elected to represent the nursing workforce.

About the Council of Governors
The Trust’s Council of Governors consists of a total of 16 elected public and staff governors, alongside representatives from local partners and councils (known as appointed governors), totalling 28 members.
The Council of Governors performs an important role. It is responsible for representing the interests of the Trust's members, the public and partner organisations, in how the Trust is governed. It meets four times a year in public and meets twice a year with the Trust Board.
